Our Story

Built for the work that doesn't stop when treatment ends.

Helply exists because finishing a program doesn't mean the work is finished. This is the story of why we built it, what we believe, and who we built it for.

Why Helply Exists

Recovery doesn't end when a program ends.

Helply was founded in Albuquerque, New Mexico with a straightforward observation: people in recovery often have the most support while they're in treatment — and the least support when they leave.

The structure of a program, the daily routine of appointments, the accountability of a clinical setting — all of that disappears when someone returns home. And that's exactly when the hardest, most unglamorous, most necessary work begins.

Helply was built to help people do that work. Not to replace therapy or treatment — but to provide the practical tools, daily structure, and self-guided reflection that help people stay engaged in their own recovery long after formal care ends.

"Getting help is important. Finishing treatment is important. But neither one means the work is finished."

The Gap We Fill

What happens between appointments?

Clinical treatment is essential. But it leaves significant gaps — hours, days, and weeks where people need structure and don't have it. That's the space Helply was built for.

168 Hours in a week. Even intensive outpatient programs account for fewer than 15 of them. The other 150+ are unsupported.
90 Days is commonly cited as a high-risk window after leaving treatment. Structure in that period matters enormously.
0 Appointments needed to use Helply. These tools work on your schedule, at your pace, wherever you are.
"The tools that help people most are often the simplest ones — a place to write, a structure to follow, a way to track what's working. Helply builds those tools."

Clear Boundaries

What Helply is — and what it isn't.

We believe in being straightforward. Here's exactly where Helply fits — and where it doesn't.

Helply is…

  • A non-clinical, educational self-guided platform
  • A library of practical journals, workbooks, and planners
  • Compass AI — an AI companion that walks you through your course materials, available 24/7
  • A structure tool for the gaps between appointments
  • Useful before, during, and after clinical treatment
  • Self-paced, private, and available on your schedule
  • Clear and honest about its purpose and its limits

Helply is not…

  • Therapy, counseling, or clinical treatment
  • A replacement for licensed professional care
  • A crisis service or emergency resource
  • A diagnosis or medical opinion
  • Supervised by clinicians or case managers
  • An appropriate substitute for professional treatment
How We Help

Three ways Helply supports your recovery.

01

Daily Structure

Recovery thrives on routine. Helply journals and trackers give you a place to start each day with intention — reflection prompts, habit tracking, and daily planning in one simple tool.

02

Active Reflection

Progress in recovery isn't just about what you do — it's about what you learn from doing it. Guided workbooks help you examine patterns, process difficult moments, and build self-awareness.

03

Real-Life Rebuilding

Treatment ends. Real life continues. Helply's life skills and planning resources help people rebuild finances, find employment, reestablish routines, and navigate the practical demands of life after treatment.
