Helply FAQ — Compass AI, pricing, and recovery support.

Real answers to the real questions people ask before using Helply — what it is, who it's for, what it costs, and what it doesn't do.

What Helply is

Helply is a non-clinical, self-guided educational platform. We create practical tools — journals, workbooks, planners, habit trackers, and reflection guides — that help people maintain structure, stay focused, and do the ongoing work of recovery and personal growth.

Helply is not a clinical service. It is not therapy. It is not a treatment program. It is a set of practical, self-paced tools designed to support real daily life before, during, and after treatment.

Helply is building a library of practical resources including: recovery journals with daily and weekly reflection prompts; planning workbooks for rebuilding structure after treatment; habit and routine trackers for maintaining daily consistency; emotional wellness guides for managing stress and difficult days; life skills resources for finances, employment, and daily life; and guided learning guides that break complex topics into actionable steps.

All tools are designed to be actively worked through — not passively read.

Helply Recovery & Wellness, LLC is based in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Our tools are available online and are designed for use anywhere.

What Helply is not

No. Helply does not replace therapy, counseling, clinical treatment, or professional care of any kind.

Helply is a supplemental, self-guided tool — not a substitute for licensed clinical services. If you are currently in therapy, IOP, or outpatient treatment, Helply can complement that work. If you are not in treatment and believe you may need professional support, we encourage you to seek it.

If you need mental health or substance use support: Contact a licensed provider or call SAMHSA's National Helpline at 1-800-662-4357 (free, confidential, 24/7).

No. Helply is not a medical service, crisis service, or emergency resource. We do not provide clinical assessment, diagnosis, detox support, or emergency intervention.

No. Helply does not assess, diagnose, or treat any condition. Our tools are for educational and self-guided personal development purposes only. Nothing in our materials should be taken as clinical advice.

Who it's for

Helply is designed for adults who want practical, self-guided support — wherever they are in their recovery journey. That includes people who are thinking about getting help for the first time, preparing for rehab or IOP, currently in therapy and wanting more structure between sessions, returning home from treatment, finishing a program and wanting to stay on track, or living in long-term recovery and maintaining momentum.

Yes. Helply tools are designed to complement — not replace — active treatment. Many people find that having a journal, planner, or reflection tool during IOP or outpatient care helps them stay more engaged in the process and retain more between sessions.

If you are in a residential or highly structured program, check with your care team about outside materials before using any supplemental resources.

Helply is not appropriate as a substitute for professional care if you are in active crisis, need medically supervised detox, require clinical assessment, or are in a situation where professional intervention is necessary. In those situations, please contact a licensed provider or a crisis service.

Helply is also not appropriate for minors without parent or guardian involvement.

Using Helply

Helply tools are self-directed — you use them at your own pace, on your own schedule, without appointments or waitlists. Most tools are downloadable digital formats (PDFs, workbooks, guides) that you can print or use on a device.

There are no right or wrong ways to use them. Start with what feels most relevant to where you are right now.

No appointments needed. You'll need a basic account to purchase and access tools through our shop. Joining the waitlist doesn't require an account — just an email address.

Access & cost

Helply is in pre-launch. We are building and finalizing our first library of tools. Join the waitlist to be notified the moment they're available — waitlist members will get first access and early pricing.

Self-Guided Tools — journals, workbooks, and planners — are one-time purchases. Compass AI is a monthly subscription that unlocks the AI platform; courses are purchased separately. Helply Platform is an all-inclusive subscription. Exact pricing will be confirmed at launch. Waitlist members receive early access pricing.

When you subscribe to Compass AI, your subscription unlocks the AI platform itself. You then browse the Helply course library and purchase the specific courses you want to work through. Each course purchase gives Compass AI access to that course — it walks you through the content, asks reflection questions, and saves your session history. You only pay for the courses you actually want.

Yes. Compass AI is a monthly subscription and you can cancel at any time. Your session history and course summaries are retained for a period after cancellation so you can access what you've worked through. Courses you purchased individually remain yours — you just lose access to the AI walkthrough while unsubscribed.

Because our tools are digital downloads, all sales are final once a product is delivered. If you experience a technical issue with your purchase, contact us at helplynm@gmail.com and we'll make it right.

Safety & crisis

Helply is not a crisis service. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, suicidal thoughts, or a medical emergency, please contact emergency services immediately.

Helply tools are non-clinical and educational in nature. They are generally safe to use alongside treatment. If you are in an intensive program, always check with your care team before introducing outside materials — especially if your program has specific guidelines about what you can engage with during treatment.

Data & privacy

Yes. We take privacy seriously. We do not sell your personal information to third parties. The information you share with Helply (email address, purchase history) is used only to provide our services and communicate with you. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Helply is not a HIPAA-covered entity, as we do not provide clinical or medical services. The reflections you write in our tools are yours and are not shared with or accessible by us.

Compass AI saves your conversation history within each course you're working through. This session history is stored securely in Helply's own encrypted database — it is not retained by Anthropic (the company that makes the Claude AI). Your data is yours. Each course's session history is kept separate from other courses. You can request deletion of your data at any time by contacting helplynm@gmail.com.

No. Your Compass AI conversations are private to you. They are not shared with clinicians, third parties, or anyone else. If you are using Compass AI through a clinical program integration (a planned future feature), your consent would be required before any clinical team has visibility into your conversations.

Yes, anytime. Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link. You can also email us directly at helplynm@gmail.com to be removed from any list.
